Knowing from childhood that I was to become a healer, I focused developing my skills and sensitivities in the healing realms while encouraging people to tap into their own innate healing abilities.  Of utmost importance was deepening my relationship with plants and how they share their medicine with those that choose to partake of it.  My formal training includes completion of both Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy programs through the Australasian College of Health Sciences, and then earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Herbal Sciences from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington.  I consider my non-academic training from herbal and aromatherapy teachers as equally important contributions to the knowledge that I have today.  I offer guidance to help you find your own unique path of healing using plants as powerful support along the way, specializing in herbs, essential oils, and flower essences.

I share my love for plant medicine with my husband, Evert.  Together, as well as individually, we spend most of our time involved with plants either through working, studying, or playing.

Understanding our connection with the earth through the wisdom of plants allows each of us to take responsibility for finding and maintaining our own unique delicate balance.  Plants affect us in remarkable ways, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and psychically.  We feel that by understanding the transformation that plants can effect in us, and then working with plants in whatever ways seem most appropriate, we begin to tap into their deeply-rooted wisdom.

A personal, practical knowledge of healthcare and healing has always been part of the life skills for traditional people.  Exploring Nature’s green pharmacy and deepening our intimate connections with the healing power of plants is where our passion lies.  We offer our passion to you in the forms of holistic clinical herbalism, classes, and workshops.  I work as a clinical herbalist, along with teaching classes in herbal healing, aromatherapy, and flower essences.  Evert works on an organic farm, teaches plant identification at a local university, and leads workshops in wild-growing medicinal and edible plants.

Together we teach Exploring Plant Medicine, a week-long course available through Headwaters Outdoor School in Mount Shasta, CA. For more information about this class click here.

Your time in the clinic will be focused on what is necessary for you to find and maintain your balance so that life becomes an adventure rather than a mere existence.  Using plants in their many forms has been very effective for the people I have had the privilege of working with.
